The JCR President, a full time sabbatical job, leads the Executive Committee, and oversees the general running of the JCR.

The President acts as a liaison between the JCR and the wider community, meeting with other JCR presidents and senior management from the university to ensure that JCR members are represented.

The Treasurer oversees the JCR finances. They produce the annual budget, quarterly reports, ensure the financial records are kept securely, and advise the Executive Committee and JCR on financial matters.

The Treasurer leads the Finance Committee, and sits on the Board of Trustees. They also ensure that invoices and reimbursements are checked and paid promptly.

The Chair is responsible for chairing all JCR meetings, and ensuring the fair running of the JCR. This includes elections, interviews, committees, clubs and societies. The Chair is head of the Governance Committee, and convenes and chairs meetings of the Executive Committee.

The Chair is the complaints officer for the complaints procedure. If you have a concern or complaint regarding the JCR, contact the Chair. The Chair can also answer questions about running in elections, or applying for roles within the JCR.

The Events Officer assists with the coordination and administration of all internal and external events organised by the JCR. This includes balls, Fashion Show, and much more. The Outreach and Fundraising Officer oversees all Outreach Projects. They act as a liaison between outreach projects, the Executive Committee, and College Officers, ensuring that all projects are compliant. They also organise training, and oversee all events that are run by outreach projects.

The Senior Welfare Officer coordinates all welfare activities within the JCR. They meet with college regularly to discuss welfare issues, oversee the running of Talk and Support Campaigns Committee and Pastoral Committee, and assist with welfare training.

The Vice President serves as a deputy to the JCR President, acting in a flexible role with responsibilities including stash management, overseeing college families, maintaining alumni connections, and helping with some of Mildert's many events.

The Communications Officer is responsible for all things communication within the JCR, from managing our social media channels and capturing the best moments from events, to keeping the website updated and sharing important information with the JCR.

The Senior Freshers’ Representative organises JCR activities during Freshers’ Week, heads the Freshers’ Representatives Committee, and represents the views and interests of first years.

The Sport and Societies Officer oversees the running of Sports and Societies within the JCR. They liaise with College Sport to ensure that the rules of collegiate sport are communicated. They ensure teams are registered and are aware of health and safety and conduct regulations. They also organise varsity competitions, taster sessions, team photos, and work to promote college sport and societies.

The International Officer is the Head Representative for international students within the college and the JCR. Responsible for advocating for the interests of international students — the International Officer is the key contact for foreign students in navigating the transition to university life in the UK.

They organise the International Freshers’ Week, liaise with other colleges and head the international committee which organises events for students to promote culture exchange and integration into the Van Mildert community.
